Marqueur
“My passion for straw marquetry was the beginning of this beautiful adventure in jewelry creation. Self-taught, I learned to transform this simple material into sparkling treasures, celebrating the timeless beauty of nature.
My site is my little sharing corner, the place where I invite you to discover unique creations. Craftsmanship, for me, is above all conviviality and authenticity.
So, welcome to my little world, where a simple blade of straw becomes a jewel full of life. I hope that my creations bring you as much happiness as they brought me when creating them."

Straw Marquetry
Straw marquetry is an ancient craft dating back to 17th century France, with origins dating back to ancient Egypt and medieval Italy. It once adorned furniture and precious objects, seducing the European aristocracy.
After prolonged neglect, straw marquetry experienced a renaissance in the 1920s thanks to craftsmen who were able to restore old pieces, but also innovate with new creations.
Today, this technique has evolved to include contemporary objects, such as jewelry, merging the traditional and the modern, while remaining a tribute to its timeless authenticity.
Rye straw
The rye straw for our jewelry comes from Burgundy, France. In this region, it is harvested using traditional methods. Each strand is carefully selected and sorted by hand. After sorting, the straw is colored then dried naturally in the open air.
Our jewelry is created using the straw marquetry technique. This method requires great patience and a lot of attention to detail. Each strand of straw is delicately split, then flattened to form fine plant ribbons. These ribbons are then assembled by hand to create decorative patterns.
The straw becomes resistant thanks to its natural varnish, silica. This treatment gives it waterproof properties and heat resistance. However, these jewels remain delicate. It is therefore important to maintain them with care to preserve their beauty and longevity.
